Mothers often become overprotective out of fear of repeating their past mistakes. But that fear blinds them to the real solution, so they end up repeating the same pattern anyway.

  1. The stupid girlfriend who's supposed to be ashamed of the monster she's dating is rather aggressive towards a child may God punish someone like her she's so shameless and even worse than her monster of a boyfriend

  2. This movie has a lot of lessons to learn as parents should always take out time to listen to their and not pour out frustration and hunger on innocent children…. I really tear up 😢

  3. Hmmm the mother was doing too much even though she was protecting her girl child bcos of wat she went through…but atleast she could have handle it calmly by talking to the girl let her know ur story …let her know the reasons behind don’t do this, don’t do that

  7. Excellent movie! My princess, Ebube, I am very impressed. Ex Producer, Story, and stellar performance wow!. Right alongside the beautiful Shaznay Okawa and the handsome Sam Onot. WoW!! I think I am all cried out for the week. Sad, realistic, and excellent execution by all casts. I must say that shift in Sam's personality from uncle to predator threw me for a loop. Well done!!! More people need to see this movie. This has a common thread of Monica 2 (hurt moms, hurt their daughters). I was happy to see the outcome, justice served.

  8. I left this movie feeling heavy and completely heartbroken. The mother's behaviour on neglecting, mistreating her child, was the primary poison, plain and simple. Even knowing about the mother's own horrific trauma as a teenager, what she did to her daughter wasn't right. Mistreating someone because of your own pain isn't protecting them but repeating the cycle of suffering. She could have prevented this, she should have focused on trying to heal herself and break that pain, not turn around and hurt her own daughter. Let's be clear: what happened to that girl wasn't her fault, not at all. That falls squarely on the mother's shoulders, and on the man who abused her. Parents, mothers especially, have no right to repeat the worst parts of their own history on their children. We have to protect them, not destroy them. 1:31:54
