  1. Warm is how I’d describe this movie, and i was so worried it was going to scarring and just traumatizing 😂. I’m sorry I didn’t watch it sooner mama N 🎉

  2. This actually is the dark side of life people want to keep away. Many think the female child is more exposed to danger of abuse. On the contrary, both sexes are. We should be vigilant. Thank you Biodun for this deep movie. More grease to your elbow.

  3. Woww very insightful, got me researching, just found out males biological can impregnate around 12-14, I’m just imagining the number of male child abuse that went unpunished and unheard, sad we protect females more, everyone needs protection. The awareness isn’t loud enough, such a broken world 🥹🥹

  4. What an incredible movie—so emotional, so touching. Every scene felt alive. The cast was outstanding and the crew did a phenomenal job bringing the story to life.”
    Aunty Biodun u do well o 👊🏻😍

  5. I have always been a big fan of Biodun Stephen's movies. I became a biggest fan after her movie Big Love. Her storyline is always real and relatable, always the ones that some find difficult to talk about.

    Great job, ma'am.

By the way, am I the only one who loves how Fayokumi calls his mom Babe 😊😊

  6. Honestly, I’m deeply disturbed by how Yetunde was portrayed in Dark Ties. The film tries to paint her as a “good woman who made a mistake,” but what she did wasn’t a mistake — it was predatory, repeated abuse of a child. There is nothing tragic or redeemable about that.

What makes it worse is how the writing almost treats her actions with sympathy. If the genders were reversed, there is no universe where a man who groomed and abused a minor would be framed as a misunderstood person with a sad past. This comes across as pedophilia apologism, intentional or not, and it’s unacceptable.

The scene where her son calls his own mother his “girlfriend” and “lover” was beyond cringe — it was unsettling. In another scenario, she could have caused the same harm to him, and that thought alone shows how unsafe and inappropriate her character truly is.

I genuinely almost unsubscribed from the channel because of this storyline. The only reason I didn’t is because the producer, Biodun Stephen, is known for excellent, thoughtful work. But this one completely missed the mark.

This story had a chance to address abuse honestly, yet it chose to soften and romanticize the actions of a predator. That’s not just poor storytelling — it’s irresponsible.

  7. I'm glad i came to watch this after seeing aunty Biodun ad on FB. Evil is not gender specific anyone can be a predator and i hope parents pay more attention to their kids and adults they tend to gravitate too more cause not all are normal.

  8. Child molestation in evil and it leaves an indelible scar on the victims. I always feel uncomfortable when any of my children grow fond of an adult. Parents please let's keep an eagle eye on our kids it's very important. The entire cast were fabulous 🎉🎉🎉

  9. I cried so many tears in this movie. It's wild. You are such an amazing storyteller Biodun Stephen. This story is so layered and complex. Emotions were so raw and palpable. Actors delivered a 100, sound design was also great. Love love this one.
