  1. Bank and Bond was so good I always enjoy a tug of war and battle of wills theme between a man and a woman! mutual respect that is earned is the best kind!

The more things change the more they stay the same a man when it comes down to it a man wants to be respected and a woman wants to be protected.

Although Riva definitely regarded and respected women’s feelings he also set boundaries and clearly had a belief system that respect was a two way street.

I appreciate that Riva was the type of man that deeply valued and prioritized fairness, respect, and equality amongst men and women but he showed and honored the integrity of his full masculinity with gentle, and protective qualities while not getting caught up on gender role reversals with things like cooking for himself which were as equally important.

I’m so glad Riva was there to always comfort Marie and to remind her that she deserved better, that she found her voice, and realized there is dignity in walking away.

Dante was a total chauvinist to Marie gaslighting her and demanding that she cook especially bc she allowed it. He didn’t try much of that rubbish with Annie but when it came down to it he didn’t protect her any better and put himself first. As it turned out Annie was actually caring, nurturing, and domesticated after all in a sense bc Riva inspired those qualities to come out by giving her the desire and that was the difference.

I really respect Annie setting boundaries that Dante show respect for women when she surprisingly demanded that he not disrespect Marie and Annie felt empathy for her. I really respect that Annie didn’t allow Dante to push her into anything she wasn’t ready for.

The quarreling and the battle of the sexes thing Riva and Annie had going on was really interesting and fun to watch. Neither of them probably would have given in but affection and mutual respect had the upper hand and final say. Mama thank you as always for such an amazing production! You did it to death bringing us this new talent. Yusuf and Ejiro are both top-tier. Steph, Chinwe, Ejiro, Yusuf, and entire cast and crew W/D ❤

  2. Annie, are you deaf? Surely you heard all the disrespectful insults that your new boo was hurling at his "EX". Abeg! I would have gone out the door right behind her. Omo

  3. Marie, please respect yourself. You overheard the phone call where your "MAN" was calling you desperate, he treats you like trash daily and he brought another woman in the house with you there and called you his EX and somehow you are still trying to force yourself on him? Please hunny. Love yourself.

  4. As a female, I could never be ok overhearing a conversation/argument with the EX who is in the house when I enter. Annie, please love yourself too. Don't let this man that you met barely 24 hours ago, have access to you!

  5. Annie is really getting on my nerves. It doesn't matter how angry you are. You are a guest in someone else's house and are showing that your mother did not train you well. It is too much!
