I’m going to be honest: the reaction to Monica is getting a little too much now.
Nollywood has been telling this kind of story for years. A person is mistreated, humiliated, made to suffer, and the audience is pushed to feel sorry for them. That formula is not new. We have seen this same type of movie over and over again, and some characters in past Nollywood films were treated even worse than Monica. So let’s stop acting like Monica is some brand-new storyline that Nollywood has never done before. It only feels bigger because it started trending and everybody jumped on it. At this point, people need to calm down, rest, and give it a break.

Mama Monica reminds me of my grandma…it's exactly this she did to my mom her first born and then her favorite child..and yes, she is always calling that favorite child to gossip about my mom.
Even though my mom does everything. I've even asked my mom is she is sure grandma gave birth to her but she said yes..but honestly I don't belive it.. it's just that my mom somehow looks like her if you concentrate well.
I really just want to understand what goes through these kind of peoples head when they antagonize one child so badly…
