Ese dreads the annual Christmas party at her family house, mainly because of her mom’s relentless nagging about her single status. This year, a family conference call, including her parents and her ever-competitive cousin, Beauty, serves as a reminder of the impending holiday and the pressure to bring a man home. Beauty drops a bombshell, expecting Ese to bring the boyfriend she’s supposedly always talking about.

Forced to find a date, Ese revisits her list of exes but comes up empty. Desperate, she remembers Andrew, a guy she met on a dating site for a one-time fling, and invites him to play the part.

As the Christmas party unfolds, unexpected drama ensues, fueled by the ongoing rivalry between Ese and Beauty, the watchful eyes of her parents, and the comedic relief provided by Ochuko, the family’s resident foodie.
