The US backing away from the policy of free navigation is incomprehensible to me. It is truly insane. The US can clear the Strait, send all of Iran's fast boats to the bottom of the sea, and guarantee passage of vessels of all nations. That is what should be happening. Instead, Trump is negotiating with an evil regime and allowing that regime to control shipping through the strait. Trump continually says we are winning when we have accomplished virtually nothing.
