🎬 Movie Review…Powerful Story
Diana Childs always tells great stories, and this is definitely one that was worth telling. I really appreciated the depth that was brought into this movie.
At the same time, I hope those of us who are a little more romantically inclined heard the message loud and clear. *If you choose to stay in a relationship with someone who carries trauma, you have to understand that it will take work. It will take time*. And it may take a lot longer than you expect for that relationship to begin looking anything like the wholeness you imagine.
What I truly appreciated about this film is that it did not romanticize trauma. Instead, it honestly portrayed the work, the communication, the patience, and the commitment it takes for two people to move toward healing together.
That level of realism made the story even more powerful.
