Uloma lost her mother three months ago. She was still grieving when her oldest friend came back with a half-hearted apology and a bag of chin-chin, asking for another chance. Uloma forgave her. That is the kind of woman she was. Generous, loyal, the kind of friend people spend whole lifetimes looking for and rarely deserve.
So when Uloma earned her spot in the Lagos Culinary Showcase, a cooking competition where the winner travels abroad to train as a professional chef, she did not hesitate. She sent Dara the link. She said a win for one of us is a win for both of us. She meant every word.
She did not know that Dara had already decided she could not afford for Uloma to win.
The night before the competition, Dara secretly replaced Uloma’s cooking ingredients with kerosene, detergent, and baking soda, hoping to destroy her dream in front of national television cameras. What followed shocked everyone in the hall, including the judges, the competitors, and Dara herself.
This is a story about friendship and what it costs a woman to choose integrity when revenge is standing right in front of her, offering to help. This emotional African storytelling film explores betrayal, toxic friendships, forgiveness, grief, jealousy, Nigerian food culture, female friendship, emotional healing, and the painful moment when loyalty finally meets truth. From Lagos kitchens to Edinburgh culinary schools, Uloma’s journey becomes a powerful story about integrity, destiny, and learning to stop carrying people who keep trying to break you.
Watch until the end. The cleaner saw everything.

Guyss😂😂 I apologize in advance that you’re about to hear Edinburgh be called Edinboro multiple times in the next thirty minutes😂. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story though?😂❤
Yes, my Dara’s name is Rachel!!!! Every chance I gave her, I unfortunately regret it in the end! The first time was all her fault, every other time afterwards I’ve accepted as my own!…
I’m team the elderly lady she was right I would had gotten her back to sorry but the old lady was right
That was a huge mistake by letting this wicked evil 😈 person back in her life
Some people are just wicked for no good reason
The friendship should have been cut from the funeral, except the apology but let the friendship fadeaway and I would never share about a competition with her.
Forgiveness doesn't require reconciliation. That girl should have been history years ago!
GREAT STORY ABOUT INTEGRITY, FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN ONE SELF. NOT SURE HOW SHE DID NOT RECOGNIZE HOW DARA WAS A SELFISH TROLL EARLY ON…BUT HOW SHE HANDLED THE BETRAYAL AND EYES OPENING TO WHO DARA TRULY IS WAS VERY TASTEFUL. ACKNOWLEDGING THE TRUTH AND ENDING THAT RELATIONSHIP SHOWED GREAT COURAGE, STRENGTH AND WISDOM. ENJOYED VERY MUCH💖‼
This is why we must not talk too much. He that keepeth his mouth, keepeth his life.
May I not have a child as unwise as Uloma. Boundaries are important.
Question do these friends have to get kill first to see what they friends are about these stories be vexen man like come on omg 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Dara is the type to unalive and dismember someone and then apologize to the person's parts. This type of demon-possessed individual must never be allowed close to you or your loved ones.
1. Mistake
2. Grace
3. Nope! Once a snake reveals itself, I don't laugh with it.
That was definitely Grace. I learned when people show you who they are, believe them and move on. Forgive them and love them from a distance.
"The joke is the message. The laugh is just the costume it wears so you don't run." Wow 😅
Ulomo should thank Mama N'Ketchi by sending her a gift that helps her legs, like compression socks, a new wrapper or two and a matching Gelli.
She should also send her some money from at least two week's wages. That would be a very big comfort to the older woman who did the right thing by exposing Dara.
If she had not exposed the traitor, it's quite possible that Ulomo might still have won, but Dara would have gotten away with the deadly deed–because putting in kerosine and other ingredients like detergent could have proved fatal!
Uloma in part, owes her success to Mama N'Ketchi's actions to expose the truth.
Although Mama doesn't want or need of anything, it would be a very grand gesture to send some gifts and maybe a monetary gift and a thank you card from Edinburgh.
Mama would treasure those gifts for the rest of her life, and Uloma would have paid forward that act of kindness and support. That is hard to come by.
It's grace after being hurt, then betrayed. Dara is no one's friend. For the last, yes, more than one person, so my list of trusted humans is less than five; doesn't include family either.
ATLANTA, GA IN THE HOUSE!
GRACE, HER MOMMA RAISED HER WELL! FORGIVE AND FEED HER WITH ALONG HANDLE SPOON. KNOW YOU WORTH! AND SHE KNEW HERS! GREAT STORY!!!
Wickedness everywhere LORD show us mercy 😢
Love them all and trust no one.
Beautiful story…but Uloma mother died and was buried back in the village way before the competition. But on the morning of the competition Uloma called her mom.." story discrepancy detected"..
It took this final act from Dara for Ulema to realize she needed to cut ties with her. Mama the cleaner was God sent, she made sure Dara was exposed and Ulema received the recognition she deserved. The kindness Ulema showed towards Mama was admirable, no one else bothered to ask her how her legs were. Hopefully after this Dara will take a good look at herself and change her ways. I enjoyed the story, and I'm watching from the US Northern East Coast.
Yes I have!
Not everyone needs to sign to your blessings
Absolutely my friends of 15 yrs and my sister
She already beat you just by cheating makes u an loser name jahcruz jamaica 🇯🇲
Dara was toxic. My girl was truly wonderful. She loved truly, deeply & without reservation. The kind of unconditional love that we look for & fail to cherish because our selfish selves can't accept it.
Bad deeds will kill the person with it
I love the storyline including the ending ❤
I can’t imagine not being there for my best friend in her times of need. And I don’t think I would’ve forgiven her for that but I wouldn’t have cut her off either. I’d express myself and go from there. But the second time wasn’t a mistake, it was deliberate and she had to go.
Her girl is a snake. I wouldn't let here back in. Forgive, perhaps. Forgetfulness I'm not built for.
Am I the only one bothered by the copyright image at the center of the screen 😢
Forgiving someone does not mean that you allow them back in your life.
Interesting story ❤
Nice story, I enjoyed!
Her mom , her ancestor ……. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Currently have someone like Dara In my life
