Johnson was a terrible husband. But I almost kind of agree with him about Blessing. Evans didn’t need to be that tight with his money. So I almost don’t blame her for sleeping with chief-Johnson, not gonna lie. Instead of flexing with moderation, Evans clamped down too hard, and it just wasn’t necessary. At that point, you can kind of understand why the council of elder-men gave him a tough time and really struggled to forgive him (in the second part of this movie). I don’t blame them, and I don’t fully blame Blessing, either. At-least she didn’t neglect anyone to the point of death, unlike Ekwutosi. Evans gave her nothing to work with. Udoka’s just a crazy woman. Blessing’s just a woman trapped with an overly stingy man.
Oby Kechere’s style of acting here, meanwhile, is unintentionally hilarious.
