Biodun Stephen is an exceptional storyteller, and her productions deserve far more recognition than they get. It’s unfortunate her movies don’t always hit 5M+ views in one day, because they go beyond entertainment-tackling societal issues while evoking deep nostalgia for the Nigeria we grew up in, before the hype of “Lekki.”
From A1 locations to carefully vetted actors, everything feels intentional and authentic. I already foresee others copying her style, especially those with bigger fan bases, but originality like this can’t be duplicated.
