  1. Though rooted in the biblical account of Nabal, David, Abigail, and the host of others, the story was beautifully brought to life. I truly commend the writer and the actors for their outstanding work.

Key Lesson: Nabal represents arrogance, ingratitude, and foolishness, while Abigail embodies wisdom, humility, and peacemaking.

    God bless you all.

  2. This is indeed a beautiful Bible story produce as a movie.

  3. God bless the writers of this story

I'm case you don't have much data to watch just read my comments ,

Nabal was a wealthy but foolish man who lived in the wilderness of Maon. He was married to Abigail, a beautiful and intelligent woman. David, who would later become King of Israel, had been protecting Nabal's sheep and flocks in the wilderness.

When David sent some of his men to ask Nabal for provisions, Nabal insulted them and refused to help, saying he didn't know who David was. This angered David, who set out with 400 men to kill Nabal and his household.

Abigail, aware of the situation, quickly gathered food and wine, and went to meet David. She apologized for her husband's behavior, showing remarkable wisdom and diplomacy. She said Nabal's name meant "fool" and took the blame for not knowing David's men. Her actions calmed David's anger, and he praised her for preventing him from committing a violent act.

Nabal died shortly after, reportedly after Abigail told him what happened. David, impressed by Abigail's character, asked her to become his wife. She accepted, and they had a son together, Chileab (also known as Daniel).

  4. Decided to watch Yoruba movies this holiday, and it’s my first time seeing Yoruba culture used to tell a biblical narrative.
"ABIGAIL" by Lateef Adedimeji was beautifully done — the characters, background music, and sound were top-notch👏
