If this system represents how it is in Nigeria, then what a rotten system that is. Someone is clinging to life and you’re talking about “I can only start life-saving operation when you give me the money”. Is it a car or a human being? What kind of oath did they take as doctors to have such a horrible mentality. And then they lost the woman and child. Rubbish people.
This movie sheds light on a prevalent issue in Ng. What a great chief, but his solution is not addressing the real problem. Health care is not a commodity, it is a human right. Health care should be free, especially in a poverty-stricken country like Nigeria. They cannot afford healthcare. So getting sick is a death sentence. The money he’s allocating to people to pay for health care, he should be allocating to pay the doctors, nurses, and other health professionals to make free health care possible.
