This was a very authentic story. From rags to riches. Many of us in some way have been treated with disdain and cruelty by those who are expected to care and love us. This story teaches us so ,amy life long lessons we can apply to our daily lives. We see jealousy and hate demonstrated by grace's stepmum. She never took the time to love care or even notice grace and treat her as a person. Gace immense beauty was seen as threat and so she sought to destroy her. Jealousy turns to contempt which brews destruction. Often times, we ourselves take people for granted but if we take the time to know others we can foster meaningful relationships. "From rags to riches". Although, grace was treated with disdain and was given all the responsibilities in the home she never complained. She remained kind and humble and this is the definition of true character. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. It's not what is external makes us beautiful but what is internal our heart, kindnesss, gratitude, mannerism, humility just to name a few are true virtues that define's one's character. Grace possess these characteristics. Sometimes, we ourselves are given so much task to do whether by our parents or employers and at times it could become tedious but it prepares us for the future. It fosters not just responsibitity and accountability but grooms us into better individuals. In grace case she was being secretly prepared for a greater responsibility as wife, queen and mother. Sometimes, the pain we inflict on others reciprocates back to us. "What goes around comes around.' Rita and her mother never thought that they would end up like women scorned. The way they treated grace and the task they impose on her would come back to hunt them one day. Life is not a one sided journey but a two sided journey. Have a blessed day everyone.

I love ❤️ this story because i can somehow relate to it!!!!! Mine wasn’t actually about face but mine was glory, as a child, I never knew anything about glory, but my stepmother always told people that I will take her children’s glory if am allowed to be taken care off 😢!!!! So I was rejected, mocked by a whole village because I got pregnant at 14, had to run away for my life and that of my child!!!! I now understand what my stepmother was trying to pretend, but Destiny delayed is never 👎 a denial 😊. Today am doing so well in the uk 🇬🇧 and her children has become useless and she still hates me for that,,, yet I did nothing wrong, am just a poor orphan and a single who only believes in God. Thanks for this beautiful story, it brings back memories 😢
