  1. Aside from the fact that this is just a movie and pure acting, I genuinely want to ask: in today’s world, do Yoruba people still use human beings as sacrifices to worship any deity? If the answer is no, then why are films still portraying it as normal practice? What exactly are we meant to learn from movies like this, that human sacrifice is still part of Yoruba culture, or what? Because repeating these narratives to the world keeps reinforcing a picture that many of us know is no longer true.
