  3. -Know for Sure (Part 3 of 4)
    – Prophecy of Moses and Jacob
Moses blesses the twelve tribes of Israel .
Joesph and Judah receive the superior blessings.
Moses blesses the tribe of Joesph:
“Blessed of the Lord be his land…precious fruit…ancient mountains…lasting hills “etc etc Deut 33:13-16
Jacob blessings the tribe of Joesph:
“Joesph is a fruitful bough … who’s branches shall run over the wall “ Gen 49:22
“Over the wall” meaning his posterity shall cross the ocean !

    -Prophecy: Merging Scripture
This event was to happen in a future generation. Ezek 37: 18
“The stick (book) of Judah … and the stick of Joesph shall be one in thy hand “ Ezek 37:19
If the stick of Judah is the Bible who among us can answer what this other scripture is – the stick of Joesph

    – Prophecy-Final restoration of the gospel
After so much apostasy and restoration the Lord was to restore the gospel one final time !
“That in the dispensation of fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are in earth, even in him “ Eph 1:10
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth “ Rev 14:6

    – Prophet of the Restoration
Joesph Smith is the first prophet and presiding high priest of the Dispensation of Fullness of Times.
His first vision was the beginning of the fulfillment of the prophecy found in Acts 3:20-21:
“And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: whom the heavens must receive until the time of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by mouths of all his holy prophets since the world began “ Acts 3::20, 21

    -Restoration of Priesthood Authority
Joesph Smith and Oliver Cowdrey, May 15 1929, along the bank of the Susquehanna River, near Harmony Pennsylvania.
The ordination was done by the hand of an angel, who announced himself as John, the same that was called John the Baptist in the New Testament:
“Upon you my fellow servants, in the name of Messiah, I confer the Priesthood of Aaron, which holds the keys of ministering of angels, and the gospel of repentance, and of baptism by immersion for remission of sins;”…D&C 13
The authority of the higher or Melchizedek Priesthood was later confirmed by Peter, James & John , the ancient apostles, who hold the keys of this priesthood.

    – Elijah the prophet fulfills the prophecy of Malachi Mal 4:5,6
Temple at Kirtland Ohio, April 3, 1836
    Joesph Smith Journal :
“After I assisted…in distributing the Lord’s Supper to the Church…I retired to the pulpit, the veils being dropped, and bowed myself, with Oliver Cowdrey, in solemn and silent prayer …after rising from prayer the following vision was open to both of us “
“…after this vision had closed, another great and glorious vision burst upon us; for Elijah the prophet, who had been taken to heaven without tasting death stood before us and said:”
“Behold the time has fully come which was spoken by the mouth of Malachi testifying that he (Elijah) should be sent before the great and dreadful day of the Lord come
To turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers, lest the whole earth be smitten with a curse “
“Therefore the keys of this dispensation are committed into your hands “…D&C 110:13-16
With these Keys of Authority given by Elijah all ordinances administered to the living are also provided vicariously to those who have passed through the veil.
These ordinances are now administered in the many temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

-Records of Joesph joins the records of Judah (the Bible) Ezek 37:17
The Book of Mormon is a translation of the record of the tribe of Joesph.
It speaks of their Journeys, wars, and the prophets they had among them.
It is a record of a fallen people.
“I will camp against thee round about….”
“And thou shalt be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be out of the dust..” Isa 29:3,4
This scripture refers to a portion of the tribe of Joesph speaking “out of the ground “ after their destruction!
The Book of Mormon verifies the teachings of the Bible, it testifies of Jesus Christ .

    -Eternal Marriage
Men and women are sealed together for time and all eternity in the Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
“Until death do us part” is a man made doctrine !
“Neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man in the Lord “ 1 Cor 11:11
The Lord exalts men with their wives and children whenever possible !
“Honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and being HEIRS TOGETHER of the grace of life; 1 Pet 3:7
All marriage covenants have to be taken care of before the resurrection:
“In the resurrection they neither marry, nor given in marriage, but are appointed angels of God” Matt 22: 30
Angles (obviously unmarried) are appointed after the resurrection.

    -Was Jesus Married ?
50 plus years sitting in church and I never heard that he was !
Some topics about Jesus the gospel writers treated with reverent silence!
All I can say is that the apostles learned the above doctrine from him and he “fulfilled all righteousness” !

    -Can man see God?
“No man can see God at anytime “ John 1:18
But in John 6:46 it reads:
“No man hath seen God at anytime, save he which is of God, he hath seen the father “ John 6:46
In the Moses 1:11, Pearl of Great Price, it reads:
“But now my own eyes have beheld God, but not my natural, but my spiritual eyes, for my natural eyes could not have beheld, for I should have withered and died in his presents; but his glory was upon me; and I beheld his face for I was transformed before him” Moses 1:11 – Pearl of Great Price

    -Plurality of God
“Before me there was no other Gods formed, neither shall there be any after me “ Isa 43:10
What is God teaching here is it some great mystery of the universe or was he simply saying there is only one God that you shall worship?
    As the scripture says:
“There are Gods many and Lords many, but to us there is but one God” 1 Cor 8:5,6
Those who receive the fullness of the father are “Joint-heirs with Christ” Rom 8:17
He (Jehovah) called them Gods “unto whom the word of God came” John 10:34-36
Please tell me what Phil 2:5,6 (KJV) is trying to teach?
Isn’t it a law of the universe that when a seed is dropped in full maturity it becomes like the parent who dropped it ?

    – Interpretation of Scripture
The spirit of God is needed to interpret scripture correctly!
“…the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God “ 1 Cor 2:11

    -God in Miniature
We have land, He has Planets, We have a wife , He has a wife, We have children, He has children.
Our test in life is to see how we behave as Gods in miniature !
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant , thou has been faithful over a few things , I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord “ Matt 25:23

    – Lukewarm
“Because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth “ Rev 3:16
See Degrees of Reward (Part 2 of 3)
Paul in 2 Cor 12:2 was caught up to the third heaven.
What qualifies a man for the 2nd heaven?
Hiram Ohio Feb 16 1832 …Joesph Smith Preface:
“While translating…Myself and Elder Rigdon saw the following vision “..
    pondering John 5:29…
“And again we saw the terrestrial world, and behold and lo, these are the terrestrial, which differs from the church of the firstborn…”
“And also they who are spirits of men kept in prison, whom the Son visited…”
“Who received not the testimony of Jesus in the flesh, but afterwards received it “
‘These were honorable men of the earth, who were blinded by the craftiness of men”
“These are they who receive of the presents of the Son , but not the fullness of the Father”
“Wherefore they are bodies terrestrial, and not bodies Celestial, …”
“These are they what were not valiant in the testimony of Jesus: wherefore they obtain not the crown over the kingdom of our God” D&C 76:71-80

    – The Wise Virgins
“At that day when I come in my glory shall the parable be fulfilled which I spake concerning the ten Virgins “
“For they that are wise and have received the truth, and have taken the holy spirit for their guide, and have not been deceived – Verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire”
    D&C 45:56,57

    – Earth’s second renewal
After Christ’s second coming the earth is to be restored to a higher terrestrial sphere of existence.
For one thousand years Christ will personally reigned over those who remain on earth.
This space of time is known as the Millennium.
The last two chapters of the book revelations speaks of yet another renewal of the earth which is to take place after the millennium.
At this second renewal the earth will be transformed to even a higher Celestial Sphere of existence !
In this Celestial existence, both the Father and the Son will reside!
“The throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it “ Rev 22:3
About those who are allowed to live in the presents of both the Father and the Son the scripture reads :
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things “ Rev 21:7
Don’t plateau – whatever your mind tells you to repent of make sure you do it !
See Know for Sure (Part 4 of 4)

  4. -Know for Sure (Part 2 of 4 )
    – the Spirit World
The Spirit World is where the spirits of the dead live temporarily while they await the resurrection.
“For Christ once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the spirit; by which he also went and preached unto the spirits in prison, which were sometimes disobedient in the days of Noah” 1 Pet 3:18-21
Between Christ’s death and resurrection he went into the spirit world and preached his gospel to the spirits who were “sometimes disobedient “ in the days of Noah !
    Before Christ death he spoke:
“The hour is coming and now is when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God, and they that hear shall live “ John 5:25
“For this cause was the gospel also preached to them that are dead, that they may be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit “ 1 Pet 4:6
Millions of people have lived on earth without even so much as hearing the name of Jesus Christ –
These individuals have their opportunity in the Spirit World to hear and obey !

    – Spirit World Divisions
We know of at least two divisions in the Spirit World!
Read the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus – Luke 16: 19-31

    – Baptisms by Proxy
“Unless a man is born of the water and the spirit he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God “ John 3:5
Baptism is required of all men whoever lived on earth !
Ancient saints were baptized by proxy for their departed love ones who never had a chance in this life to receive this ordinance.
“Else what should they do which are baptized for the dead if the dead raise not at all why are they baptized for the dead?” 1 Cor 15:29
The sixth canon of the Council of Carthage ,held in 397 AD, forbids any further administration of baptism for the dead.

    – Elijah the Prophet-Restoration of Keys
The restoration of priesthood keys to perform Baptism for the Dead was to be restored by Elijah the Prophet in the last days “before the great and dreadful day of the Lord” !
“Behold I will send Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: and he will turn the heart of the children to their fathers, and the heart the fathers to their children, lest I smite the earth with a curse “ Mal 4: 5, 6

-Man created in the image of God
“So God created man in his own likeness, after his image “ Gen 1:27
“Adam..begot a son “in his likeness, after his image” Gen 5:3
“And they saw the God of Israel and there was under his feet a paved work of sapphire stone “ Ex 24:9-10
We can presume there was a body above the feet !
“And the Lord talked to Moses face to face as a man speaks to a friend “ Ex 33:9-11
Stephen while being stoned to death:
“Behold I see the heavens open and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God “ Acts 7:55,56
Two separate and distinct personages, the Son standing on the right hand of the Father!
But in John 10:30 we read :
“I and the Father are one”
The Father and Son are one in purpose.

    – Degrees of Reward
After man passes through the resurrection and a final Judgement he will be given the life he specifically and justly deserves…and it will be given to the degree which he gave his fellow man !
    -THREE heavens :
“I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago…such a one caught up to the third heaven “ 1Cor 12:2
    -THREE types of resurrections :
“There is one glory of the sun, and another glory the moon, and another glory of the stars, for as one star differeth from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead…1 Cor 15:40-42

    – Jesus Christ
Was a God before this life
“Emmanuel being interrupted is, God with us” Matt 1:23
    Was foreordained before this life
“Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world “
    1 Pet 1:20
Was the first begotten in the premortal life
“He bringeth his first begotten into the world “ Heb 1:6, Heb 12:23
Only begotten of the Father in the flesh
“The glory of the only begotten “ John 1:14
Has a glorified body of flesh and bone
After his resurrection he spoke to his disciples:
“Handle me and see, a spirit hath not flesh and bone as ye see me have “
    Luke 24:39
Unless he died twice he has his body of flesh and bones today !
In the creation God the Father was the architect, Jesus was the worker !
“Though whom he made the worlds “ Heb 1:2

    – Atonement of Christ
Because of Christ’s atonement we escape punishment from “all manner of sins” – IF WE REPENT !
“Repent …that your sins may be blotted out “…Acts 3:19
“By his stripes we are healed” Isa 53:5
See Know for Sure (part 3 of 4)

  5. – Know for Sure (Part 1 of 4)
“..the human mind is loath to search deeply into anything it desires not to believe” James Talmage

    – You can be a prophet !
Repent of your sins, follow the sensible promptings you receive to improve, dedicate yourself to the happiness and welfare of others, try to be perfect and continue until you “feel” the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost is a distinct feeling that you know is not you … it is something that you have earned !
Bring your question before the Lord, wanting to do his will only and not your own. Make it a yes or no question.
If you feel the Holy Ghost after you ask – your idea is true !
This is the process the Lord has given to determine truth from error !
    John 7:17

    – The importance of Works
“The Son of Man shall come and reward every man according to his works “ Matt 16:27
“Not everyone that saith Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of God but he that DOETH the will of my father in heaven “ Matt 7:21
But are we saved by grace ? Yes ! Grace is all those things that the Lord has done for us which we couldn’t possibly do for ourselves – such as the atonement !
But as the scripture says we will be “rewarded according to our works” Matt 16:27

    – Priesthood Authority
“Prophets and Teachers…as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, separate me Barnabus and Saul (Paul) for the work whereunto I have called them “
“And when they had fasted and prayed, and LAID THEIR HANDS UPON THEM , they sent them away “ Acts 13: 1-3
Why was it necessary to lay hands upon Barnabus and Paul ?
Couldn’t Paul just go and preach ?
    – Priesthood is the power and authority of God delegated to man on earth to act in all things pertaining to the salvation of man !
This was true both in old and New Testament times !
-There are two distinct characteristics always shown in the scriptures when men receive the priesthood.
1 ) They are called of God by revelation through another priesthood holder.
    Acts 13 :2 , Ex 28 : 1, 3
“No man taketh this honour unto himself , but he that was called of God as was Aaron “ Heb 5: 4
    2) They we’re ordained
under the hands of another priesthood holder. Acts 13:3 , Mark 3:14, Exod 28:3
    – With priesthood authority obtained in the correct way the ordinances you perform and the preaching you do is recognized in both heaven and on earth.
-Now you have to ask yourself…the different ministers of today…what revelation from what priesthood holder called them ? … What priesthood holder ordained them ?…
…Who called and ordained the founders of all these different churches?…Or did they “taketh this honour unto themselves “ Heb 5:4
    – Do you think God holds blameless those who preach and administer ordinances without proper authority ?

    -Man’s premortal existence
Before this life we lived in the presents of our Heavenly Father as his spirit children.
    The Lord said to Jeremiah;
“Before I Formed thee in in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations” Jer 1:4,5
The apostles believed it was possible to sin before birth:
“Rabbi, who did sin THIS MAN or his parents that he was born blind” John 9:2

    – Apostasy
Moses received the command on Mt Sinai “Thou shalt not kill “
Man had existed for centuries by that time do you think that was the first time God gave that command ?
The history of the religion of the Jews is one of apostasy and restoration!
“Behold I will send a famine into the land, not a famine of bread or a thirst for water, but of hearing the word of God , and they shall wonder from sea to sea … north to east … run to and fro and shall not find it “ Amos 8: 11-12
This famine has happened several times in history Micah 3:5-7
… it happened after the death of the apostles ! 2 thess 2: 1-4
Satan was to be given power “over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations” Rev 13:7
Now if an apostasy has occurred and priesthood authority has been lost what is the Lord’s way of restoring it again ?
Is it ? 1) giving you a book and saying “here you figure it out” ? Or is it ? 2) The heavens open , a prophet is called, divine revelation received, and priesthood authority restored ?

    – Universal Resurrection
Jesus Christ showed his resurrected body to his Apostles:
“Behold my hands and my feet that it is I myself: handle me and see ; for a spirit hath not flesh and bone as ye see me have “ Luke 24:39
Because of the atonement of Jesus Christ all who lived on earth will be resurrected – regardless of their righteousness !
“…there will be a resurrection of the dead both the just and the unjust “ Acts 24:15

    – Higher Gifts of the Spirit
Christ brought forth the higher law of the gospel .
And with that higher law a higher priesthood authority was also brought forth – the priesthood of Melchizedek !
Because of Christ’s greater authority John said that Christ could baptize “with the Holy Ghost and with fire”Matt 3:11
The gift of the Holy Ghost in the apostle’s day was given by the laying on of hands by those with proper priesthood authority !
“And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the Apostle’s hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money “ Act 8: 18
“And when Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came upon them.” Acts 19: 6

    – Additional Scripture
“And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, he shall be called a Nazarene” Matt 2: 33
The fact that no such prophecy exists in the Bible suggests the certainty that Matthew believed in a book of scripture that is lost to us today !
This shows that the Bible with certainty is not a complete collection of sacred scripture !
Seventeen books are mentioned in the Bible in such a way to leave no doubt that they were once regarded as authentic !
Some are with us today, classed as Apocrypha – but the greater number are unknown !

    – The Atonement of Christ
The atonement of Christ was the most important event in history!
Christ in the garden of Gethsemane and on the cross took upon himself the combined punishment of everyone’s sins.
Because of Christ’s sacrifice we can be forgiven of our sins and escape all punishment.
This forgiveness comes to us only on the condition of repentance and our belief in Christ !
Christ has said that “all manner of sins” can be forgiven !
Yes… there is the unforgivable “sin against the Holy Ghost” .. but that can only be committed by prophets!
The greater the light the greater the condemnation!

    – Old Testament prophecies of Christ’s Atonement
“He was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities” Isaiah 53:3
“For the transgression of my people was he stricken “ Isaiah 53:8
“He bare the sins of many” Isaiah 53:12
“They pierce my hands and feet “ Psalm 22:16
“He keepeth all his bones, not one of them was broken “ Psalm 34:20
“In my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink” Ps 69:21
Christ’s life fulfilled over 40 Old Testament prophecies !

    – Animal Sacrifice
Why did ancient Israel offer animal sacrifice ?
“ And after many days an angel of the Lord appeared to Adam, saying: Why dost thou offer sacrifices unto the Lord “ ?
“And Adam said unto him: I know not, save the Lord commanded me.”
“And the Angel spake saying : This thing is a similitude of the sacrifice of the only begotten of the father, which is full of grace and truth “ Moses 5:6-7

    – Jesus Christ
“For there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby man must be saved “ Act 4:12

  6. from what I know, depictions of Muhammad are not the problem. it's depictions of Allah. I can see this is missing a lot of information that does not show the reality of Islam. for example, how did so many countries come to follow Islam? was it through conquest?
